The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Finding Shelter in the Storm: The Sixfold Protection of Psalms 18:2

Life can often feel like a battlefield. Whether you are facing physical trials—like illness, financial strain, or broken relationships—or wrestling against unseen spiritual forces, the weight of the struggle can be overwhelming. In those moments when the ground beneath you feels like shifting sand, where do you run for cover?

In Psalms 18:2, King David provides an architectural blueprint of divine protection. Writing after God rescued him from the hands of all his enemies and from the power of Saul, David uses six powerful symbols to describe the multi-layered care God provides for us in our ongoing life struggles.

Let’s unpack these six symbols and discover how they apply to your life today.

1. My Rock: The Foundation of Unshakable Security

“The Lord is my rock…”

When the world around you is chaotic, a rock represents safety, security, and steadfast strength. Unlike the temporary structures of this world, God does not crack, shift, or erode under pressure. As echoed in Psalms 31:2-3; 42:9; 62:7, building your life on Him means you have a solid foundation. When spiritual or physical storms beat against you, you will not be moved because your footing is secure.

2. My Fortress: An Impenetrable Place of Refuge

“…and my fortress…”

A fortress is a designated place of safety built to withstand heavy assaults. When the enemy launches arrows of doubt, fear, or condemnation, God becomes your high wall. He is a refuge that the enemy simply cannot penetrate. You don’t have to fight the battle in the open plains; you can run into your Divine Fortress and rest behind His defensive lines.

3. My Deliverer: The Power of Active Rescue

“…and my deliverer…”

God does not just watch us suffer from a safe distance; He actively steps into our mess. A deliverer is someone who rescues and frees people from captivity and trouble. If you feel trapped by an addiction, a toxic circumstance, or overwhelming anxiety, remember that God specializes in breaking chains. He is your Waymaker.

4. My Shield: The One Who Steps Between Us and Harm

“…my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield…”

In ancient warfare, a shield was a soldier’s primary defense against flying projectiles. God as your shield means He literally steps between you and harm. Just as God promised Abraham in Genesis 15:1 (“Do not be afraid… I am your shield”), He intercepts the fiery darts of the enemy before they can destroy you.

5. Horn of My Salvation: Victorious Power to Save

“…and the horn of my salvation…”

In Biblical imagery, a “horn” symbolizes strength, authority, and victorious power (reminiscent of a powerful animal’s horn). God is not a passive savior; He possesses aggressive, conquering power. When you claim Him as the horn of your salvation, you are declaring that His power is absolute and that victory over your spiritual and physical battles has already been won.

6. My Stronghold: Raised Above the Danger

“…and my stronghold.”

A stronghold (or high tower) was a fortified place built high up on a mountain or cliff. When you hold firmly to God and remain in a right relationship with Him, He lifts you high above the immediate dangers of life. From the vantage point of His stronghold, your perspective changes. Your problems look smaller because you are seated safely in high places with Him.

Embracing His Protection Today

No matter what physical or spiritual forces are aligning against you today, you do not have to face them unprotected. God is your rock, your fortress, your deliverer, your shield, your victorious horn, and your high stronghold. Turn to Him, trust His character, and let Him be your ultimate hiding place.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being my ultimate sanctuary in times of trouble. When physical trials weigh me down and spiritual battles rage around me, remind me of the multi-layered protection I have in You. I declare today that You are my Rock—my unshakable foundation. You are my Fortress, keeping me safe from the enemy’s reach. You are my Deliverer, breaking every chain that holds me back.

Lord, be my Shield today and intercept the arrows of fear and doubt. I lean into the Horn of my salvation, trusting in Your victorious power to save. Psalms 18:1-50 stands as one of the most powerful testimonies of deliverance in the entire Bible. It is a triumphant song of praise, written by King David during a season of profound gratitude. Interestingly, this exact song is recorded twice in Scripture—here and in 2 Samuel 22—underscoring its immense importance to David and to the history of Israel.

Scholars believe David composed this psalm early in his reign, likely around the timeline of 2 Samuel 8:14, after the Lord had given him victory over his enemies and established his kingdom. It captures David at a beautiful spiritual high point, written before his devastating sin with Bathsheba and the subsequent trials that followed him for the rest of his life. It represents a pure, unblemished cry of thanksgiving from a man who knew exactly what it felt like to be hunted, only to be lifted up by the hand of God.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for being the ultimate fulfillment of this psalm. Thank You for reaching down into the deepest pit of sin and death to pull us out, setting our feet upon a rock. Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings, ⁹From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.

The Apple of Your Eye: Resting in God’s Fierce Protection

In moments of vulnerability, uncertainty, or trial, where do you turn for shelter? Thousands of years ago, the Psalmist faced intense pressure and turned to the Lord with a beautiful, bold prayer. In Psalms 17:8-9, we find a powerful cry for intimacy and security:

“Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings from the wicked who despoil me, my deadly enemies who surround me.”

To deeply understand the depth of God’s love for you, we can look at the two vivid word pictures used in this passage to describe His protective care.

1. The Apple of the Eye: Highly Valued and Cherished

When we hear the phrase “the apple of my eye,” we often think of a beloved child or a deeply cherished spouse. In the original Hebrew context, the “apple” refers specifically to the pupil of the eye.

The pupil is one of the most sensitive, vulnerable, and essential parts of the human body. Because it is so vital to our sight, our bodies are wired with automatic reflexes—like blinking—to shield it from harm at the slightest threat.

By praying, “Keep me as the apple of your eye,” the Psalmist is acknowledging two profound truths:

You are of immense value to God. You are cherished, treasured, and loved beyond measure.
God protects you instinctively. Just as you automatically protect your own eyes from dust or injury, God fiercely guards His faithful people from the attacks of the enemy.

2. The Shadow of Your Wings: Loving Care and Provision

The second metaphor shifts from a protective reflex to a picture of tender, maternal nurture: “Hide me in the shadow of your wings.”

This imagery invokes the beautiful picture of a mother hen gathering her defenseless chicks beneath her feathers to keep them safe from predators and harsh weather. It is a symbol used throughout Scripture to express God’s absolute care, comfort, and provision (Psalms 36:7; 57:1; 61:4; 63:7). As a believer, praying for God’s strong arm of protection and support is not a sign of weakness—it is your divine privilege. God’s Word reminds us repeatedly that He guards His people with this exact level of intensity (Deuteronomy 32:10; Proverbs 7:2; Zechariah 2:8).

If you are feeling surrounded by “deadly enemies”—whether those are physical trials, financial stresses, broken relationships, or spiritual anxiety—take heart. You are not forgotten. You are watched over by a God who views you as His ultimate treasure.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the profound depth of Your love. Thank You that I do not have to walk through the trials of this world unsheltered or alone. Lord, in moments when I feel overwhelmed or pursued by the anxieties of life, remind my heart of who I am to You.

Keep me, Lord, as the apple of Your eye. Guard my heart, my mind, and my life with the same fierce immediacy that protects the pupil of the eye. Hide me safely in the shadow of Your almighty wings. Let me find true rest, comfort, and provision beneath Your protective care.

Standing Confident Before God: The Power of a Pure Heart

When you pray, do you speak with hesitation, or do you approach God with absolute confidence?

In Psalm 17:1, David cries out with a bold, unfiltered plea: “Hear a just cause, O Lord; attend to my cry; give ear to my prayer, which does not rise from deceitful lips.”

David’s prayer wasn’t just a desperate wish thrown into the wind. It was a confident appeal rooted in two powerful truths: God’s unwavering mercy and David’s own faithful obedience. David knew he wasn’t perfect, but he knew his heart was set on honoring God.

Here is what David’s cry teaches us about building a deep, effective prayer life today.

1. God Searches the Heart

David could pray boldly because he knew he wasn’t hiding anything. He invited God to examine him, knowing that God searches our hearts and sees our true motives. When our efforts are right and true, we gain a deep, quiet confidence before Him. As 1 John 3:19-21 reminds us, when our hearts do not condemn us, we have real boldness before God. NOT ABANDON ME TO THE GRAVE / PSALMS 16:9-10

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. ¹⁰For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Not Abandoned to the Grave: The Eternal Security of the Believer

A personal relationship with God gives us the absolute confidence of a future life with Him and the certainty that He will not abandon us in death. When we read Psalms 16:9-10, we are reminded of the profound hope that anchors the soul of every believer.

David writes in Psalms 16:9-10:

“Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay.”

This ancient promise holds a deep theological weight that echoes throughout the entire Bible, ultimately pointing us directly to Jesus Christ.

Understanding Sheol: The Old Testament View

The word used for the realm of the dead in Hebrew is Sheol. Found 66 times in the Old Testament, it is translated 55 times as “the grave” and 6 times as “death.”

In general, the Old Testament views Sheol as a place associated with some sort of punishment, judgment, or separation:

Under God’s Judgment: When Jacob believed he lost his son Joseph, he despaired that he would go down to Sheol under a shroud of grief and perceived judgment, refusing to be comforted (Genesis 37:35).
A Place for the Wicked: David clearly indicated that Sheol was the destination where the wicked would turn (Psalms 9:17). Similarly, the prophet Isaiah vividly described how the ungodly king Tiglath-Pileser of Assyria would go down to Sheol to join the kings he once conquered (Isaiah 14:9-10).

The Hope of Moving Upward

Because of the grim nature of Sheol, faithful Israelites did not expect to stay there. Instead, they anticipated a future where they would fully enjoy God’s holy presence:

David confidently declared that he would dwell “in the house of the LORD forever” (Psalms 23:6).
Other psalmists rejoiced in the belief that God would rescue their lives from the power of the grave and receive them into glory (Psalms 49:15; 73:24-26).
Solomon testified in the Proverbs that the path of the wise leads upward, “to keep him from going down to the grave” (Proverbs 15:24).

The Ultimate Fulfillment in Christ

What David anticipated, Jesus finalized. Centuries after Psalms 16 was written, the early church apostles—Peter and Paul—boldly applied these exact verses to Jesus Christ and His resurrection.

During his powerful sermon at Pentecost, Peter explained that David died and was buried, so he couldn’t have been talking about himself remaining untouched by decay (Acts 2:25-31). Instead, David was speaking as a prophet looking forward to Christ. Paul echoed this in Antioch, affirming that God raised Jesus from the dead, never to experience decay (Acts 13:34-37).

Because Jesus conquered the grave, death has lost its sting. We no longer fear the abandonment of Sheol. Our future is secure, our resurrection is guaranteed, and our eternity is safely held in the presence of the Living God.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the beautiful and unbreakable certainty that You will never abandon us to the grave. We praise You that through a personal relationship with Your Son, Jesus Christ, we can live with joyful hearts, rejoicing tongues, and bodies that rest secure.

Thank You for conquering death and ensuring that our path leads upward into Your eternal presence. Where there is fear of the unknown, plant Your perfect peace. Remind us daily that our future is secured by the resurrection of Christ, and that we will dwell in Your house forever.

SET THE LORD ALWAYS BEFORE ME / PSALMS 16:8

I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Unshakable Faith: Choosing to Set the Lord Always Before Us

In a world filled with endless distractions, shifting priorities, and unexpected storms, it is easy to find ourselves ungrounded. We look to our circumstances, our own strength, or the opinions of others to find stability. Yet, the timeless wisdom of the Psalmist offers a radical alternative for a life that cannot be shaken.

In Psalms 16:8, King David declares: “I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.”

This single verse reveals a powerful spiritual truth: God’s people should pursue and cherish, above all else, an intimate, intentional relationship with the Lord. Stability doesn’t come from a change in our external circumstances; it comes from a deliberate shift in our internal focus.

An Intentional Choice

The phrase “I have set” denotes a conscious, continuous action. God is omnipresent, but experiencing the fullness of His peace requires us to actively fix our spiritual gaze upon Him. When we choose to place the Lord before us, we filter our thoughts, decisions, and anxieties through His character, His word, and His promises. We decide that His perspective matters more than our problems.

The Power of His Right Hand

David writes that because the Lord is at his “right hand,” he will not be shaken. In ancient times, the right hand represented the position of highest honor, supreme authority, and ultimate strength. By recognizing God at our right hand, we acknowledge that the Almighty is close enough to hold us, strong enough to protect us, and authoritative enough to fight our battles.

When we anchor ourselves in His continual presence, we unlock the breathtaking progression of blessings detailed throughout the rest of Psalms 16:

Divine Guidance: We receive wisdom and counsel for our steps, even during our darkest nights (Psalms 16:7, 11).
Supernatural Protection: We find a safe refuge where our souls can rest secure from enemies and fear (Psalms 16:8).
Abundant Joy: Our hearts become glad, and our entire being rejoices because true joy is found in His presence (Psalms 16:9).
Victory and Resurrection: We are given a hope that transcends the grave, foreshadowing the Messiah’s ultimate victory over death (Psalms 16:10).
Eternal Pleasures: We are led down the path of true life, ending in a destination of everlasting satisfaction (Psalms 16:11).

Living an unshakable life does not mean we will never face trials. It means that when the trials come, the foundation beneath our feet will remain firm. Heavenly Father, we come before You acknowledging that our lives are often cluttered with distractions that pull our eyes away from You. Forgive us for the times we have relied on our own strength instead of resting in Your sovereign power.

Finding Your Fullness: Why God is Your Portion and Your Cup

We live in a world that constantly tells us we don’t have enough. It pushes us to chase bigger portions—more recognition, greater financial security, better circumstances, and deeper validation. We treat life like a buffet, trying to fill our plates with things we hope will finally satisfy us.

But thousands of years ago, King David discovered a radical secret to true contentment. In Psalms 16:5, he writes:

“Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure.”

When we unpack the rich imagery behind these words, we find a beautiful blueprint for lasting peace and happiness.

The Portion: Your Ultimate Inheritance

When David speaks of a “portion,” he is drawing from Israel’s history. When God’s people finally entered the Promised Land, the territory was divided into distinct portions of fields and land for each tribe (Numbers 16:14). It was their inheritance, their livelihood, and their security.

But David shifts his focus away from physical earth. He realizes that land can be lost, crops can fail, and earthly wealth can fade. Instead, he declares that the Lord Himself is his portion.

This echoes God’s profound promise to the tribe of Levi in Numbers 18:20: “I am your portion and your inheritance.” To have God as your portion means that even if everything else is stripped away, you still possess the ultimate treasure. He is your permanent security, your true home, and an inheritance that can never be spoiled or stolen.

The Cup: Your Daily Refreshment

While the “portion” represents a grand, lifelong inheritance, the “cup” brings the imagery into the intimate space of daily life. In ancient Near Eastern culture, the “cup” was a powerful metaphor for hospitality. When a host welcomed a weary traveler into their home, offering a full, refreshing cup of drink was a deep act of kindness, favor, and protection.

By calling God his “cup,” David is saying that the Lord is his daily source of refreshment, joy, and spiritual nourishment. God doesn’t just give us blessings; He is the blessing. He is the refreshing water for our weary souls when the world leaves us parched. As Jesus later reminded us in John 14:23, when we love Him, He makes His home with us. We are perpetual guests at a table hosted by the Creator of the universe.

Contentment in the Present Tense

Notice that David doesn’t say God will be his portion someday in eternity. He says God is his portion and cup right now.

When you make the Lord your portion, you stop looking to your job, your relationships, or your bank account to give you a sense of worth. When you make Him your cup, you stop trying to fill your life with temporary pleasures that leave you thirsty again an hour later. You find a deep, unshakeable happiness because your source of joy is entirely secure.

Today, take a deep breath and release the pressure to constantly achieve or accumulate more. Look to the One who has already assigned you your portion. You don’t need a bigger piece of the world; you just need more of Him.

A Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for being a God of infinite abundance and intimate hospitality. Forgive me for the times I have looked to the things of this world to satisfy a hunger that only You can feed. I declare today that You alone are my portion and my cup. Thank You for securing my future and for refreshing my soul in the present. Help me to rest deeply in Your presence, knowing that in You, my inheritance is beautiful, my cup is running over, and my joy is complete. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;

The Anchor of the Soul: Finding True Fullness in Psalms 16:2

We live in a world that constantly bombards us with a million different versions of what a “good life” looks like. We are told that satisfaction is just one more purchase, one more promotion, or one more relationship away. Yet, so many of us find ourselves running on a treadmill of endless chasing, wondering why the things we thought would fulfill us leave us feeling incredibly empty.

Thousands of years ago, King David found the antidote to this universal human struggle. In Psalms 16:2, he writes a line that serves as a beautiful, grounding reality check for our wandering hearts:

“I say to the Lord, ‘You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.’”

When we slow down and really look at those words, they challenge everything the world tells us about happiness.

The Source of True Goodness

When David confesses, “Apart from you I have no good thing,” he isn’t saying that his life is completely miserable or devoid of pleasant experiences. He is recognizing a deeper spiritual reality: God is the ultimate source of all goodness.

Without God’s presence, the blessings of this life lose their true meaning, texture, and fulfillment. Think of it like streetlights during a clear day. When the sun is shining brightly, the streetlights seem incredibly dim. In the same way, when God is at the center of our lives, the temporary pleasures of this world pale in comparison to His glory. Anything of value or worthwhile in our lives is a direct reflection of His presence.

Dethroning the False Gods

David expands on this in Psalms 16:4, noting that the sorrows of those who chase after other gods will multiply.

An idol doesn’t have to be a golden statue; it is simply anything that takes priority over God in our hearts. When we look to career, financial security, approval, or material wealth to give us the identity and security that only God can provide, we are running after false gods. David firmly resolves to have nothing to do with them because his relationship with the true God means everything to him.

A New Testament Echo: To Live is Christ

Centuries later, the Apostle Paul walked in this exact same mindset. Looking at his life through the lens of the Gospel, he came to the same conclusion as David. He wrote:

“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21)
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” (Galatians 2:20)

For both David and Paul, life wasn’t about what they could accumulate or achieve on their own. It was entirely wrapped up in who they belonged to.

Bringing It Home

If you are feeling restless or dissatisfied this week, take a moment to look at where you are searching for your “good things.” Are you looking for fulfillment apart from the Creator?

True satisfaction isn’t found in a change of circumstances; it’s found in a change of allegiance. When we acknowledge Him as our Sovereign Lord, we find that we already have everything we truly need.

A Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being the anchor of our souls and the architect of everything beautiful in this world. Forgive us for the times we have tried to find satisfaction, security, and joy apart from You. Remind our restless hearts today of the truth of Psalm 16:2—that You are our Lord, and we have no ultimate good outside of Your presence.

Help us to lay down the false idols of comfort, control, and validation that we so easily chase after. Fill us instead with the sweet joy of knowing You, walking with You, and resting in Your grace. May our lives echo the declaration that to live is Christ. We love You, we trust You, and we praise You for being our supreme treasure.

Standing Firm: The Cost and Blessing of Personal Integrity

We live in a world where promises often come with an expiration date. Contracts have loopholes, commitments are easily cast aside when a better offer comes along, and “yes” doesn’t always mean “yes.”

Yet, as followers of Christ, we are called to a completely different standard. God puts the highest priority on personal integrity—our character, honesty, honor, and faithfulness. This isn’t just about the big, public moments; it relates deeply to how we keep our promises and commitments to God and to others.

A Reflection of God’s Character

Our God is a person of His word. From Genesis to Revelation, every promise He made, He fulfilled. Because we are called to reflect His image, He expects us to be people of our word too. This was true in the Old Testament, and it remains a foundational truth for New Testament believers.

When we look at the scriptures, the counsel is clear: it is better not to make promises than to make and then break them (Deuteronomy 23:21-23).

Few things give Christianity a bad reputation faster than those who claim to follow Christ but are known to lie or break their commitments. Our witness to the world isn’t just carried by our words on Sunday morning; it is carried by our actions Monday through Saturday.

The Everyday Details of Integrity

Sometimes, we think of breaking commitments only in terms of major betrayals. But integrity is built—or broken—in the mundane details of daily life. We break commitments when we:

Fail to pay our bills or debts on time.
Withhold our best efforts at home, school, or work.
Compromise on honesty in our relationships to protect our comfort.

True integrity means we must follow through on our promises and commitments, even when they turn out to be much more difficult, costly, or exhausting than we originally expected.

The Promise of the Blameless

The ultimate blueprint for this lifestyle is found in the Psalms, where David asks who is worthy to dwell in the sanctuary of the Lord. The answer is a striking reminder of what God values.

Let us close today by grounding our hearts in this truth, asking for the strength to stand firm.

A Closing Prayer: Psalms 15:4

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today recognizing that You are a God of absolute truth, justice, and unwavering faithfulness. You keep Your covenants to a thousand generations, and Your word never fails.

Lord, search our hearts today. Forgive us for the times we have let convenience dictate our commitments. Forgive us for the moments we have compromised our honesty or given less than our best effort to the people and responsibilities You have placed in our lives.

We pray today for the grace and courage described in Psalms 15:4—to be people who keep our oath even when it hurts. When a commitment demands more from us than we anticipated, give us the stamina to follow through. When standing by our word costs us comfort, reputation, or financial gain, remind us that our integrity is worth far more than any earthly treasure.

WHO MAY DWELL IN YOUR SANCTURARY? PSALMS 15:1

START YOUR DAY RIGHT DAILY DEVOTION

(KJV) Psalms 15:1

Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

Who May Dwell in Your Sanctuary?

Have you ever felt a sudden, cold distance in your spiritual life? One day you feel completely aligned with God, and the next, His presence feels miles away. It is a frustrating, isolating experience. But it also forces us to confront a vital question, one that a specific Psalms beautifully tackles: “What sort of person experiences a deep relationship with God and a strong sense of His presence?”

The answer the Scriptures provide is both a beautiful invitation and a sobering warning.

The Cost of Distance

The truth is, God does not randomly hide from us. More often than not, we lose a sense of His presence—or even cause Him to withdraw His presence from our lives—through our own choices. Ungodly behavior, dishonesty, deceit, slander, and selfishness act like a thick fog, blocking the warmth of His spirit.

When we allow compromise into our hearts, we slowly drift. And as the scriptures remind us, to lose touch with God is to lose everything. Walking in darkness while claiming to walk with Him only fractures our own souls (1 John 1:6-7).

A Daily Reflection

Because our hearts are prone to wander, we cannot afford to live on autopilot. We are called to examine our actions daily. This means:

Active Confession: Routinely bringing our hidden faults into His light and turning completely away from them.
Seeking His Approval: Shifting our focus away from the applause of the world and striving instead to live for God’s approval alone, as workmen who do not need to be ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15).
Keeping Character Clean: Guarding our tongues against slander and treating our neighbors with radical selflessness.

Spiritual intimacy is kept alive through obedience. When we keep His commandments, we abide in His love, and our hearts remain confident before Him (1 John 3:21-24). Let us make it our daily ambition to be the kind of people who are welcome in His holy place.

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Lord, we ask the question today: Who may dwell in Your sanctuary? Who may rest on Your holy hill? We desire to be a people who live in the fullness of Your presence, never stranded in the distance of our own making.

Search us, O God, and know our hearts today. Test us and know our anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in us, and lead us in the way everlasting. Forgive us for the moments we have allowed dishonesty, deceit, selfishness, or unkind words to pollute our lives. Cleanse us from secret faults and keep us from willful sins.

Help us to examine our actions daily with honesty and humility. Give us the strength to turn away from anything that grieves Your Spirit. We want to live for Your approval alone, handling Your truth correctly and walking just as Jesus walked.

Remind us every hour that to lose touch with You is to lose everything. Anchor our hearts in Your truth, protect our fellowships, and let our lives be a pure sanctuary where Your Spirit loves to dwell.
